Terms of Service

By using AuraMatch you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AuraMatch (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use AuraMatch. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for keeping your password secure
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You may not share your account with others
• You may delete your account at any time via Settings

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use AuraMatch for any unlawful purpose
• Upload offensive, harmful, or illegal content (including in the community feed)
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or bypass the Service
• Harass other users
• Spam the community feed with promotional content
• Misrepresent your identity

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. AI-Generated Content

AuraMatch uses artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic) to provide shade matching, ingredient analysis, and product recommendations. AI outputs are guidance only, not professional advice.

• Always patch-test new products before full application
• Consult a dermatologist for serious skin concerns
• Verify ingredient lists directly with the manufacturer if you have severe allergies
• AI-recommended shades are estimates — actual product appearance may vary

AuraMatch is not liable for adverse reactions, allergic responses, or dissatisfaction with products recommended by the AI.

6. Product Information & External Retailers

Product information (prices, ingredients, availability) is sourced from public retailer data and may be inaccurate or out of date. Always verify with the retailer before purchasing.

AuraMatch is not the seller of any product shown. All purchases are made directly with third-party retailers (Amazon, Boots, Cult Beauty, etc.) under their own terms and conditions.

7. Affiliate Links

Many product links on AuraMatch are affiliate links — see our full Affiliate Disclosure for details. Clicking these links and making a purchase may earn AuraMatch a small commission at no extra cost to you.

8. Premium Subscription (Optional)

If you upgrade to AuraMatch Premium:

• Billing is handled by Stripe
• Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled
• You can cancel at any time via the Settings page — access continues until the end of the paid period
• Refunds are issued on a case-by-case basis (contact support within 14 days of purchase for UK consumer rights)
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice; existing subscriptions are honoured at their original rate until the next renewal

9. Intellectual Property

All AuraMatch branding, design, code, and AI-generated personalised content remain the property of AuraMatch. You may share AuraMatch results socially (e.g. try-on screenshots) but may not reproduce, resell, or rebrand the Service.

User-generated content (community posts, photos, reviews) remains yours, but by posting it on AuraMatch you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display, distribute, and promote it within the Service.

10. Service Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but make no guarantee. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss caused by downtime.

11. Termination

You may stop using AuraMatch at any time. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice where possible.

12. Disclaimers

AuraMatch is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AuraMatch and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Total liability in any case is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (or £0 if you are a free user).

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app banner 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of AuraMatch after that point constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
